技術簡介

The innovative die-free robot roller hemming system offers a highly flexible solution for automotive hemming process. Our newly developed hemming system consists of methodologies in  hemming trajectory compensation, hemming process simulation tool, robot posture optimization, active robot hemming system and mechanical properties improvement of sheet metal.

特色與創新

  • Roller hemming trajectory compensation: hemming trajectory precision can be as small as 0.462mm/𝑚^2.
  • Hemming process simulation tool: offline deformation prediction can be done prior to hemming operation. The analysis is based on characteristics of sheet panel such as material, sheet panel thickness, flange length and parameters related to TCP-RTP.
  • Active robot hemming system: hemming tool which provides hemming force up to 3000N and flexible hemming angles between 0°~90°. Robot posture simulation and analysis tool on robot rigidity, singularity, collision and axis limits are available. The analysis accuracy is greater than 90%.
  • Mechanical properties improvement: high strength and lightweight steel with yield strength of 900MPa. The thickness of sheet panel could be reduced up to 40%.

應用與效益

More simple and economic than conventional table-top hemming. Very suitable for prototype production and service parts. Flexibility to handle multiple product variations.
